Landscapes (<1minute)

The human eye requires a horizon. Something for one to look towards that uplifts and instills reassurance. Landscapes provide this opportunity.
There is a place in Australia called Cooper Pedy that has a landscape referred to as the “drop-off”. It is Earth revealing its raw, burnt, barren underbelly and has the effect of stripping away your thoughts and allowing you to rest in the awe of what is.
There are many places on this Earth that offer this same refuge and need not be so far flung or expansive. The view from your study window as the last of the fading sun on a well spent day brushes the tips of the trees with golden light, can be that final uplift your soul yearns for. Or that first glimpse of your homeland from the tiny window of the plane after a long long trip away. This familiarity, seen as if for the first time, percolates the heart, fills you with safety and reenergises your travel-weary body.
Set your intention to witness a landscape each day and it will find you without any effort on your part.
The Earth wants to wrap you in its love; to nourish you and rock you into sweet harmony. Awaken to the many landscapes before you and within you.

Through my writing I hope to bring forth in practical ways the knowledge and wisdom of the Earth and return it to its rightful place; the human heart. May you be uplifted, may you find peace, may you connect to the truth of who you are and celebrate your aliveness each day.
