Remembering the beauty of being in your own embrace

Oh so happy it is to be inside ones body.  To relax the tension and feel the breath.  Leaving busy thoughts behind as one moves in and out of awareness.

Yes, its training the mind to remain aware of the body.  How it moves through the day, how it responds to stimuli.  How it enjoys simplicity, slowness and stillness.  How the body loves to hear the birds song and the way the wind move the trees.  How it loves to feel the flow of ink on a fresh page and the sway of the hips. To be here with the body is like being invited to a magnificent feast, with the most scintillating guests and drinking the finest wine.  That is what it feels like to be here.

Little intervals throughout your day to return to your centre is all that one needs.  As worries float in to the mind you guide yourself back to your breathing body that is receptive to your return.  There is blue sky behind the low hanging clouds and it serves you to focus on that.  For seeing the clouds as obstructions will dampen the spirit.  Feeling instead the sensation of blue skies behind the clouds is where you fill find ease, joy and hopefulness.

No time that is fully felt is ever wasted.

A gap in the busyness of the day that you choose to give over to feeling your body, without trying to change what is in any way, is honouring your life and the wonder of this Earth that holds you, securely, in her loving and accepting embrace.

Laugh, if you will, at the absurdity of striving, fretting and worrying.  Trust life will show up for you as you take time to show up for life.  In this moment; own it, live it, breath it, love it.

To train the mind to listen and the body to feel in this way takes repeatedly showing up for yourself each day, many times a day.   It is a muscle that needs to be flexed to become strong, flexible and toned.  Patience is your best friend and compassion your loving guide.  There is no wrong way to be here for yourself.  Your leaving into to the tangles of the mind is the start of the journey home.  Let your thoughts be the creative platform on which you play out your drama and the intervals of your return be your refreshment and comfort.

Each day starts anew, as do you.

Through my writing I hope to bring forth in practical ways the knowledge and wisdom of the Earth and return it to its rightful place; the human heart. May you be uplifted, may you find peace, may you connect to the truth of who you are and celebrate your aliveness each day.
