You can harness and direct the uplifting and balancing energy of crystals in a vast array of ways from meditation, placing them around your home, wearing as jewellery or simply carrying them around in your pocket. However, this can often result in losing, damaging or, more often, forgetting to pick them up each day. So a super simple, subtle yet very powerful way to work with crystals and ensure your body gets full exposure to their healing energy when you are at your most receptive, is to grid your bed with a selection of juicy gems that will gently infuse your body with tranquil energy whilst you sleep.
Clarify your intention.
Questions : What would your life look like without this challenge or issue you are currently facing?
Asking this question clarifies how you want to feel and the improvements you want to experience. For example do you want to feel protected, safe and secure. Perhaps you want to feel less restless and more tranquil when you go to bed or more rested and freshen when you awaken. Maybe you would like deeper sleep to cleanse your body and rejuvenate your cells. Or more dreamlike sleep to enhance your creativity, vision and guidance.
This is an important step so take a minute or so to ask a clear question and get a clear emotional response.
Once you know what you want then select 4-6 crystals of small to medium size eg 2-6cms. Choose whichever you are drawn towards or experiment with ones already in your collection. However, if you would like a some ideas here are a few (remember there are a wealth of crystals out there with an even greater potential so don’t every feel limited):
Grounding (usually the darker, heavier crystals)
Black agate, black obsidian, black opal, jasper, hematite, jet.
Protection (usually darker and earthy in colour)
Smokey quartz, black tourmaline, angel aura quartz, sunstone, chevron amethyst
Deep Sleep Regeneration (usually greens, yellows and blues)
Pyrite, ametrine, sodalite, amber, citrine
Peacefulness & Tranquility (in your bedroom and in your body) (blues, purples, white, pink and green)

Having selected 4-6 crystals that have been cleansed and set with your intention, place one under the fitted sheet in each corner of the mattress. If you have 6, then place the last two in the centre of the head and base of the mattress.
As a suggestion, place the grounding and protection crystals at the foot of the bed and the lighter ones for relaxation and tranquility at the top.
Finally, here is a default grid that will always evoke a balanced calm :
At the foot of the bed place a smokey quartz terminated point facing inwards in each of the two corners and a small chip of green tourmaline in the centre. At the head of the bed place a piece of green calcite in one corner, sodalite in the other and an amethyst in the centre.
Once a month take the crystals out in the morning, wash them in flowing water (I take them into the shower with me) and place them on your windowsill for sun reenergising during the day before slipping them back into place that night.
